Last week I spent the week on Holiday. For the first time in around 9 months I cut myself off from the office and found time to wind down and relax!
Whilst away I read a book by Rob Parsons called the heart of success. The book considers in some part what success looks like today and from which perspectives you should look at it from. It also tells some well structured stories that really tug at the heart strings. The book is divided into seven rules. My favourite rules and the ones I am going to try (Sorry am going to) implement are:-
- Don't settle for being time poor - a lesson about how its all about time.
- Believe in the power of dreams - a lesson about how it is good to dream and be creative.
- Put your family before your career - a lesson which doesn't need any explanation!
I really enjoyed the book and will be making posts in the future about how I am getting on with the implementation of my chosen rules.
For anybody interested in reading the book it is available from Amazon ISBN 0-340-78623-X.
